Printmaking

A captivating series of printmaking artworks predominantly created with the collograph technique which allows Francine to build her printmaking plate with acrylic medium, drypoint, carborundum, packing paper, or crumpled tissue paper to create visually appealing 3D textures. Sometimes a chine collé element is added and then some cotton stitching. Stitching always represents the movement of energy and along with pastel lines is added at the end when the print is dry. Francine is particularly inspired in her print work by Neolithic cultures & the stones and artifacts they left behind.
